Mental Health First Aid

This workshop provides people with the essential skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to those experiencing mental distress. This one-day course would typically provide learners with a 101 guide to mental health they may come across in the work place, how to deal with a distressed person and when to ask for help from others. Delivered by a fully trained specialist nurse with 30 years of experience in front line work.

​TASK provide a resource pack and a wellness tool box for each participant. Training Involves videos, group work, discussions and quiz.

  • Sleep hygiene
  • Suicidal ideation and self harm 
  • Alcohol and other drugs and their relationship to our wellbeing

  • Responding to panic attacks 
  • How to use active listening 
  • Supporting a distressed person and when to seek help 
  • Local support services and emergency contacts 
  • General well-being at work and in the home
